A lot. Not just because the character sucks, although he DOES, but because of how undeservingly overhyped and overrated he is. I’m all up for something that reinforces the strong friendship of the main characters against all odds, but what occurred with Discord in The Return Of Harmony was not the right way to do so. We’ve spent a whole season developing the mane six into well-rounded likable characters, only for a retarded sack of donkey puke who has appeared in two episodes with a poorly-developed character to come in and start causing fans to lust over him or consider him “awesome” or “badass”?!!? Weren’t you people aware of what the heck he did? He MIND-RAPED most of the main characters for the sole purpose of being a douche and turned Ponyville into quite possibly one of the DUMBEST excuses of a chaotic wonderland EVER. And don’t give me that “it’s for kids” crap, either. Kids would know damn well that this depiction isn’t intimidating in the slightest. And I don’t care how charismatic he was acting while he was doing this, that still doesn’t forgive his actions. He’s just unpleasant, unlikable, and mean-spirited, and the way fans have treated him have just made him annoying and obnoxious. And even more so, disregarding the time constraints, he was defeated way too damn easily, so he’s only omnipotent when he wants to be. Try and disprove me all you want, but I think Discord is DISGUSTINGLY PATHETIC AND ATROCIOUS.I just don’t get why most of the bronies like this despicable douchebag so much. He’s just your typical smug snake asshole with a British accent, wisecracks, and an on-off omnipotence, nothing special. I don’t care what kind of backstory he has, because what little was revealed was so half-assed and so poorly handled that I just wanted to slap the creators for coming up with such an horrible idea. I will NEVER accept this guy as being the so-called “former ruler of Equestria” because there is very little evidence to back it up, and any evidence that is presented could easily be disproved! And I’ve already mentioned most of why I hate this guy here: [link]But still, what are you people trying to defend about him? What, is it because he was voiced by John De Lancie, Q of Star Trek: The Next Generation fame, a show that Lauren Faust likes? Well guess what? I don’t care about ANYTHING from the Star Trek franchise, and I really don’t give a rat’s ass about John De Lancie OR Q. If anything, you bronies are SHEEP. You follow the big memes and abuse them all the time until they get downright annoying, like the kissing up of The (Not-So) Great & Powerful Trixie or Trollestia or anything else you people decide to blindly follow about the show.And the worst part of it is the lack of anything anti-Discord. Why hasn’t someone made an Anti-Discord club or a fanfiction reminiscent of “Cupcakes” where Discord is the one that’s cruelly tortured? Why hasn’t someone aside from me included him in their hate memes, even though several of the other characters did show up in some of those? Needless to say, I didn’t like that. I’m not up for hate propaganda, but I still felt like SOMEONE had to do something about this. So I contributed something that was against Discord to help counter this following he’s been getting lately. (BTW, the knife and blood under my eye are my homage to Doug TenNapel’s great graphic novel, Gear.)Seriously, though, ENOUGH DISCORD. I’m sick of seeing this guy’s stupid face. I’ve had it with all those kiss-ass comments about what Discord did or anything comparing him to Chuck Norris, (who, by the way, is also incredibly overrated,) and I am through with being reminded that this… TURD exists. If this guy were eradicated from the MLP:FiM canon and he was never heard from again, then quite frankly, I wouldn’t miss him. Fuck Discord! And this clip from The Nostalgia Critic sums up my current view of all the Discord kiss-ass bronies, the crew for the show in general for being responsible for the aspects that really piss me off, and all the other aspects that have been turning me off of this show: [link]It’s inclined to change if things can actually improve, but as of the moment, I’m still incredibly angered with what’s been done.(BTW, it’s currently rated as Mature for violence/gore and strong language in the description, but I don’t know if this would be considered ideologically sensitive or not. I mean, it’s not like I’m dealing with opposing political or religious views or anything like that.) Wow holy shit, big deal, it’s just a cartoon. I can still agree that I loved the charcater myself, imagine if all he did to ponyville actually happened in I dunno, the town you lived in… it would be so fucked up and hard to actually live in.
